Streamlining Hoddle Street

Animated video translating complex transport upgrades into a clear, engaging story for public consultation.

Overview

As part of the initial public communication for the Streamlining Hoddle Street infrastructure project, VicRoads and government stakeholders required an engaging animated explainer to convey the complex traffic and road improvements to a broad public audience.

Responsibility

I produced the animation featured in the official announcement video, collaborating with visualisation artists, transport planners, traffic engineers, and representatives from VicRoads and other government bodies. My role involved compositing motion graphics, editing video content, and producing a clear and accessible narration. I synthesised technical transport data into a compelling visual story that clearly communicated planned upgrades and their benefits.

Outcome

The video was successfully released as part of the public announcement, providing a clear and visually engaging overview of the project. It was well received by both internal stakeholders and the public, serving as a key reference point during early stages of consultation and engagement. The project demonstrated my practical skills in motion design, compositing, and animation for large-scale infrastructure communication.
