Staff Social Engagement
At the start of the COVID pandemic, and with Victoria’s seemingly ever-changing rules on travel, there were concerns from Arup management with declining staff morale and engagement. My solution was to create an opt-in engagement tool to find other colleagues and team members nearby, in an effort to keep people connected in person, rather than simply through a screen.
Designed and delivered a user-friendly web-based map tool to find people open to coffee, walk, run, cycle within the designated 5km radius, and within your local council boundary
Added features for things to do within a user’s 5km boundary, including greenspaces and indigenous cultural sites
This tool was used by approximately 300 staff (out of a possible 700) and drove networking, improved morale, and allowed people to experience things they may not have been aware of in the vicinity of their home.
